(in)Visible is a dance show performed by, and for, people who are sighted as well as visually impaired and blind. On “Civic,” director Jess Curtis and performer Tiffany Taylor explain how dancers create a multisensory experience by filtering throughout the audience and verbally describing their movements. (in)Visible plays at CounterPulse Thursday through Sunday for two consecutive weekends, starting Oct. 3.

“There’s this sort of stereotype that dance has to be so visual, or it has to look a certain way, or certain types of people can only be dancers. … Some of Jess’ pieces that had audio description and had a haptic tour built in, really show that disability can be included in performance.” — Tiffany Taylor
