‘Civic,’ From the San Francisco Public Press

"Civic" show logo

“Civic” is the flagship radio program and podcast from the San Francisco Public Press. It airs Monday through Friday at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on KSFP, the Public Press’ low-power FM station, which began broadcasting in August 2019 on 102.5 FM in San Francisco.

“Civic” engages listeners with civic life by approaching San Francisco’s inner workings from the standpoint of curious stakeholders — whether they are residents, workers, visitors or otherwise connected to the city. It asks smart questions and takes an investigative approach to the stories people might wish were in the news more often. “Civic” aims to  inspire and empower listeners to become involved in making sure their city works for them.

The program is managed by Laura Wenus, host and reporter, and Mel Baker, producer and contributor.

Thanks to the generosity of the many foundations supporting this year’s national NewsMatch initiative, donations we receive through December will be matched dollar for dollar. Your financial support makes our work possible.
