Muni monthly Fast Passes for adults, youth, seniors and disabled will go up beginning July 1. Each pass will increase by $2. Prices on the passes will now range from $74 to $22 depending on the type.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency approved its two-year budget in April, which included the increases to the monthly passes. Single-cash fares will not be affected.

Lifeline passes for low-income residents will go up by $1. The transit agency is still waiting to hear from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission on whether or not it will help fund a 22-month pilot program to provide Fast Passes for low-income youth.

The transit agency uses an “automated indexing formula” based on the Bay Area Labor Consumer Price Index to set the fare increases.

  • Adult “A” Monthly Pass (Includes San Francisco BART stations): $74
  • Adult “M” Monthly Pass (Muni only): $64
