The San Francisco Public Press is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 27-1275141). Our funding comes primarily from two sources: grants from institutional supporters (mostly charitable foundations and a few companies) and individual donors via our membership program. We also receive some income from retail and direct newspaper sales, fees from syndication and occasionally from event ticket sales.
