We are proud to be part of a community filled with people who care about the less fortunate among us, and who eagerly contribute time and energy to learning about social policy challenges and jointly seek solutions.
More than 200 people attended our all-day conference — Solving Homelessness: A Community Workshop — on Jan. 25 to brainstorm, analyze and assess proposed ideas for helping vulnerable residents retain housing or reconnect with supportive family, as well as ideas for creating more temporary and permanent housing for people who are currently homeless.
Our sincerest thanks to our panelists, presenters and community participants, and to our sponsors — the San Francisco Foundation, Renaissance Journalism (with funding from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation), Tipping Point Community and the Impact Hub San Francisco — whose support made this event possible.
For coverage of the day’s events, read Joe Eskenazi’s report, with photos by Garrick Wong, and reflections from Michael Stoll, executive director of the Public Press. And watch video highlights of the conference produced by Kaylee Fagan.
